SCOPE

This workshop aims to bring together both experimental and theoretical researchers specializing in cutting-edge materials science of solids, surfaces and interfaces using various radiation fields to exchange the latest research information, share developments and challenges in the field, and facilitate new collaborations. In recent years, remarkable progress has been made in the radiation-field control in time and/or space domain. Carrier-envelope phase control of ultrashort pulse lasers allows time resolution to reach to the fs/as order, while near-field optics using atomic-scale structures allows control of light in the nm~pm order. The elucidation and control of light-matter interactions using the state-of-the-art control techniques continues to open up new fields of photochemistry and photophysics. In this workshop, we will focus on the following topics.
